As I've been making some progress unpacking boxes and working hard to focus on where I create, my studio.
I'm learning to select just my favorite creative supplies, very hard to do! I love to donate the supplies I just don't use anymore. It feels good to donate and I look forward to it. For years I've taken a truck load of various items to one of my favorite organizations in Southern California. Laura's House, a safe place to help protect and counsel families of domestic violence. They always welcome any art supplies because they use them as part of their recovery programs.
Purging those things we just don't use or need anymore is good therapy for me. Maybe many others too.? I enjoy being organized, once I'm finished. It seems to help me think more clearly, at the same time I enjoy looking through artwork unfinished, and finished from years past.
During my process, I realized I'm a collector of various items. Soon, I'll be posting some images of my various collections. I'm sure we all have collections of different kinds.
Today, I'm sharing a new magazine collection I truly enjoy as it has picked up my spirits in the past few months, since my father passed. Take a look, I believe you will enjoy this magazine too.
Porch is a beautiful magazine geared to bloggers. Take a look a this months issue.

This issue is right up my alley, since I truly love the romantic era this cover captures this season of Spring.

Someday, I will find my own bodice but I will be patient since I'm looking for just the right one. Each Porch has a bit of this and that for people who also create. Just love the variety and I'm sure there are more ideas to come.

Valentines Day is a favorite holiday for me. I don't have this issue yet, but have it on order through Porch-Magazine.blogspot.com.
You can order your issues too! They ship quickly and the customer service to great.

This Porch Magazine is all things beautiful with sparkles.

My break is up, so I must scoot and keep on track unpacking in my creative ways, as I setup my place where I create, my Studio for all the whispers I gather for my art from my heart.
I have another studio to prepare for, which means getting all the boxes unpacked as quick as possible since I've been deeply missing my Pilates machine for way to long. So I will carry on now with my mission, to keep unloading.
I asked for permission to post these images by Polly at Porch. I hope you enjoyed my little collection of Porch-Magazine. Take a look at their blog and select a few to purchase for your own collection. I'm sure it will lift your spirits and inspire you too.
Warmly,
Karla
