Mustang Beauties

I sure miss Blue Max daily, my registered Mustang I had for many years. He was a large part of my life and soul. I hope you can enjoy these beautiful and gentle Mustangs. Max was a very easy horse to care for and train since I bought him as a young gelding. The love we had was special. Very much like a large dog. He followed me without a lead, play with the rack while I cleaned his stall, and he love playing with the water spigot and hose. My dream is to have horses again in my life again real soon.

Creative Nesting

My nest is a place I use daily to manage my pain. Notice I use many feathered pillows to stay comfy. As lay on sheets of ice to ease in my suffering, I teach myself creative things to do, to keep my creative soul busy.

This necklace was truly a learning process since I chose a difficult art in wire wrapping. I'm not sure how many times I thought I'd never get it done. I'm finally happy with the way it turned out. Many vintage pieces were used from my mother's collection. I don't know about the story but wondered what it would be while I spent many hours working.

Working from a book is probably the hardest way to learn this art, next time I might just enjoy learning the tricks from a more experienced artist.

Won't you join me in my Outdoor Living Room

Just taking a break as I've been enjoying my day. Here I sit and dream. Don't you just love finishing things that you've put off? For me, most projects have been waiting for years before I could get back to them So, as I sit in this beautiful place, I imagine having a friend or two join me as we have tea and scones.

It's been a crazy few months with the house selling and now back on the market. Everything was put on hold in our everyday lives, that I craved filling my spirit by being creative. My first project was started a few years back when I was dabbling in Embroidery and Ribbonrie.
285 This morning I was greeted by the beauty and scent of a Magnolia flower I had picked in bud yesterday. It added to my excitement as I entered my studio happy to know that I was ready to finish my "With Love" pillow.

The glass button bracelet is one of my personal collections I did last year. All the buttons belonged to my mother and I did'nt realize how hard it is to find those buttons now. Having so many talents in our blood line, I believe my aunt had left them for my mother when she passed. Treasures of trinkets sparks my wonders since many are old. I like how my "With Love" pillow turned out.

Since I've been going through boxes that belonged to my mother and grandmother, I found this beautiful strand of pearls.

Thanks for hopping by and joining me in my outdoor living area. More to come.

Multi-tasking

571

Catching up with a large list of things to do. Today I'm working in the office and next can't wait to finish up on my jewelry project that has been waiting for me in my studio for weeks. After gathering ideas and techniques from some of my favorite books and magazines, I used a collection of gems I inherited from my mothers trinkets. I was also delighted to use her tools too. A touching moment for me since I've only just begun to handle opening up boxes of things that were hers. Enjoy your day and cherish life with your loved ones.

G'day,
Karla

Wounded

Part of me...... Finding a balance to get through my days. Life, living in pain from five back surgeries consumes time and affects every part of my soul. This is how I escape, when I'm feeling heavy, weary, and can't think clearly. I run away and hide until I recover again and know that I got through okay.

Summer Soul

I'm a California girl who loves the beach and wanted to share a bit of my Summer Soul. The photos below are of a yearly local surf camp that sets up a group space at San Clemente State Park for anyone interested in joining. I hope you enjoy the details that should'nt be missed for all to enjoy. Nothing is missing from home. Even the full kitchen that includes a frig, living room with fluffy chairs, sofa, even a TV too. The tables lined up perfect for playing chess or eating a delicious meal. To see this at night is quite a delight......

Me and the Sea

That's me at the sea, a place I needed to be. It helps my soul with this tranquility.

Graduation Ceremony

I was only able to capture a few images on this special day for Little Birds Graduation Ceremony but I share these moments with pride. The day was super hot but I was able to find a spot under a big pine tree behind the goal post and I think it was quite perfect since this Little Bird has goals that will fly as she has many for her future.
Her graduating class size was around 710 students. The stands were packed with over 7,000 spectators.

Little Bird is here receiving her Diploma with Honors as she gets her picture taken. (Under the goal post)

Here Little Bird stands with her first teacher, her sister. Big Bird was always playing school with her little sister and taught her everything in her early years that she was too advanced when we went to enroll her into pre-school. How about that! They still truly adore each other.

Thanks for sharing in my joy and pride with both my Birds.

New Journeys Ahead

Change is just around the corner for our family in many ways. We have sold our house and don't know where our nest will be, so we will hunt or even consider being gypsies for awhile. I share with you images by Eugenio Recuenco.com/images.html

Anything is possible. Even this tree house fits me fine.

Some wheels to get around and a well padded nest is a must. Of course, I will also need to carry my camera and computer to keep in touch.

We will see in time.

Graduation Invites are Out

Little Bird has only a few days left of school next week, before she graduates from High School on Wednesday. My days are flying..... Invites are in the mail, books are all turned in, finals are done, yearbooks are still being signed. The hardest thing for Little Bird is not knowing what her major will be. A young lady with so many interests for when she grows up. Boy, do we all know what that feels like, at all ages?

Yes I'm a proud mother and love to share these days in my life.
